Mr. Pak Sa Dewhurst will educate prospective small business vendors on how the VA’s Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the Network Contracting Office (NCO) does business that stems from a philosophy that “In order for the Government to do business with prospective businesses, they must know how WE do business first”. The briefing covers various topics concerning day-to-day operations to include, but not limited to, agency’s mission and operating locations; defining contracting’s and other roles.
Pak Sa Dewhurst is a Small Business Liaison located in Kettering, Ohio. He represents the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) 23,000 employees throughout the Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN) 10 who operate and support 12 VHA medical centers and 61 Community-Based Outpatient Clinics in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio on small business concerns. Pak is assigned to the Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10 who directly supports 170 government contract professionals at 12 locations acquiring supplies, services, construction, medical sharing, prosthetics and leasing efforts. Pak retired from active-duty as a commissioned officer from the United States Air Force with over 23 years of professional experience including his last nine years in federal contracting as a warranted contracting officer and contracts manager procuring commodities, services, information technology, construction, weapon systems, research and development and with numerous contingency contracting deployments abroad. He successfully identified, developed and instituted numerous business programs for local vendors and customer education initiatives for requiring agencies throughout the U.S., Middle East, Central Asia and the Horn of Africa. Pak has a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science, Criminal Justice – Homeland Security Administration from Tiffin University and has a FAC level 3 certification in Contracting and DAWIA level 1 certification in Program Management.
